Clueless domainers keep on registering Super Bowl #domain names

It’s Super Bowl Sunday, and we’re supposed to refer to it as “the big game,” right?

Whether you support the Philadelphia Eagles or the New England Patriots, one thing is certain: “Super Bowl” is a registered trademark.

The Super Bowl trademark is quite famous, going back almost 50 years, according to the United States Trademark and Patent Office.

And yet, clueless domain investors from around the world continue to register domains that contain the trademark.

Here are some examples of new gTLDs and some ccTLDs, that aren’t registered by the NFL:

When I think of SuperBowl I think about my big PHO super bowl soup from my favorite Vietnamese store.

Nice hot yummy beef, chicken feet, liver, guts noodle soup, warm the soul in the 5F cold

I suppose a “Super = very good or pleasant; excellent” / “Bowl = a round, deep dish or basin used for food or liquid” – A “Super Bowl = very good or pleasant; excellent, round, deep dish or basin with food or liquid in it/” Or, it could mean the Trademarked and infamous SUPER BOWL = Championship Football Game. I suppose it depends on how it’s being pitched for sale. There seems to be a loophole in generic keyword usage.

A classic mistake by many. If something is trademarked – stay away fellas
