The premium, aged domain Karma.com, appears in a recent UDRP filing at the National Arbitration Forum.
Registered in 1994, the domain Karma.com has been in the possession of the same owner, Mr. David Malaxos, since at least 2005.
This is how far DomainTools goes, at least. It is quite feasible that Mr. Malaxos hand-registered the domain Karma.com in 1994.
Throughout the past 24 years, Karma.com has hosted a variety of esoteric content on Mindspring web space. The Internet service provider closed down after a merger with Earthlink in 2000. Such email addresses are grandfathered, and it’s often dangerous to keep domain names on them.
There is no indication of what entity might have filed the UDRP against Karma.com.
While karma is a generic word, indicating in Hinduism and Buddhism “the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences,” it’s also a trademark for various services.
We’ll keep an eye on future developments for Karma.com, once a decision is rendered in 2019.
