Greek domainers, rejoice!
Greece has ended four years of capital controls today, something that Greek businesses and entrepreneurs will appreciate.
Greek domain investors will now be able to pay unlimited amounts of money for domain names, without resorting to a payment plan or other payment methods.
In recent years, Greek domainers had to funnel money for domains through friends and relatives, to banks outside of Greece. Greek start-ups, for example, having capital to acquire premium .com domains, made arrangements for sending the funds over the course of several payments.
The recently elected Greek prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, announced that the end of a suppressive era will attract more investors as Greece returns to a profitable balance sheet.
