Another day, another two letter .com domain, JQ.com, has moved under Chinese control.
Registered in 1996, JQ.com switched from the Warner Bros nameservers to new DNS. The domain was used for the Jonny Quest series.
Domain investor and LL .com expert, George Kirikos, noted the change and updated his tally of US vs. China-owned two letter .com domains:
By my count, registrants from China now own 210 of the 676 elite 2-letter dot-com domain names (31.1%). USA ownership declines to 306 (45.3%).
Two letter .com domains have been snapped up by cash-laden Chinese companies consistently, although the average selling price has dropped from its peak of 3 years ago.
