Paying the fee for domain name cases arbitrated by the WIPO just got more streamlined.
The introduction of WIPO Pay as a secure and encrypted platform provides several advantages:
- One-click payment, with confirmation by email
- Possibility to pay several transactions at once
- ‘Live’ view of all payments across WIPO services that have integrated WIPO PAY to-date
The payment method is not optional; beginning on June 26, payments for all WIPO domain name cases must now be made via the new WIPO Pay facility.
WIPO Pay
Prior to using WIPO Pay the creation of a WIPO account is necessary. Whether you are a Complainant getting ready to file a UDRP, or a Respondent requiring a three member panel, you need to create the WIPO account and utilize WIPO Pay for the financial exchange.
Oddly, the WIPO has not secured the matching domain name, WIPOPay.com. The term WIPO is itself a registered trademark, so don’t get any funny ideas.
