Chatham Financial, a Global Financial Risk Management firm founded in 1991, has performed a major domain rebranding by acquiring the domain CF.com.
The two-letter .com acquisition was noticed by domain investor and owner of two-letter .com domains, George Kirikos.
George is convinced the new registrant of CF.com is Chatham Financial due to an MX record match to those of ChathamFinancial.com. On top of that, a WHOIS record from DomainTools confirms George Kirikos’s findings.
According to George’s stats-keeping, the number of two-letter .com domain names owned by entities from China drops to 209 (30.9%), while US-based ownership rises to 299 (44.2%).
It’s one of these cases where the Chinese are selling LL .com domains to the Americans instead of the opposite!
