#China and UDRP : New rules at the #WIPO change the .CN landscape

The WIPO is changing the way China’s two ccTLD strings are to be handled, as far the UDRP process is concerned.

The launch of specific domain name dispute resolution services for .cn and .中国 (China) follows different guidelines than with other TLDs.

The new process will only affect domains that are 3 years old and younger, and not older domain names.

Additionally, China’s new ccTLD policy will only require the Complainant to prove a disputed domain name is in bad faith, in either its registration or its use, rather than both. Under the UDRP, both points need to be proven.
