In recent months, China has been playing some hardball over the control of atolls in the South Sea.
Essentially, it converted previously uninhabited islands into landing strips for its military planes, from where it can launch surveillance and potentially, attacks, in the region.
Earlier this year, a United Nations committee decided on behalf of the Philippines as primary claimants of the region, but China simply does not give a rat’s ass.
They even launched propaganda web sites proclaiming China’s authority in the region.
US president Barack Obama is visiting China, where he’s supposed to be stomping his foot over China’s activities in the Pacific South Seas.
It’s an election year, and Obama seems to be less willing to appear argumentative over this, and will probably just have tea with the Chinese president.
This and the relinquishing of Internet control away from the US, are clearly the finishing failures of 8 years of Obama administration.
Meanwhile, Chinese domain market sales have been losing steam for weeks now.
No wonder spam from Yumi.com attempts to attract Westerners and Chinese into using their platform, using scare tactics.
We have not received an apology for these acts, yet.
We keep track of the Chinese domain market, as it applies to short domains, between 2 to 4 characters in length, for the .CN, .COM and .NET TLDs.
Here is today’s list of domains:
