Diffuse.com changed hands; Did Telepathy sell this premium, aged domain?

We can’t stop raving about Telepathy, Inc. and its success through the years. Nat Cohen‘s company holds one of the most valuable, aged, and diverse portfolios of premium domain names in the industry.

While Nat’s sales via Telepathy.com or SecuredOffers.com are aimed at end-user buyers, recent WHOIS changes for the domain Diffuse.com indicate that a fellow domain investor has acquired it.

Here’s how we determined this:

Registered in 2000, Diffuse.com was moved from Dynadot to Spaceship last week. The up-and-coming registrar is not the one Telepathy uses regularly, which is Dynadot; furthermore, the domain was expiring in 2026 at the end of May—now it expires in 2027.

In other words, there was a transaction that completed quickly and with elevated mutual trust, indicating that another ultra-serious domain investor acquired Diffuse.com, paying directly and very quickly—perhaps via bank wire.

The domain is now for sale at Atom with a $995,000 dollar price tag. Diffuse.com is also listed for sale at Afternic but priced 10% higher, at $1.1 million dollars.

To recap: Diffuse.com has most likely been sold by Telepathy, for an unknown amount, to a domain investor, who is most likely looking to sell to an AI company working on a variety of diffusion models:

Diffusion models are a type of generative machine learning model that learn to generate new data, such as images, by progressively adding and then removing noise. They work by first corrupting the data with noise in a forward process, then learning to reverse this process in a reverse process to reconstruct the original data.

Update: Domain investor James Booth has acquired the domain Diffuse.com. Thanks to @ARIYAS for the note.
