It all started with an inquiry for a domain name, on Frank Schilling’s Domain Name Sales – the domain domain venue for serious domainers.
After placing an offer of $400 dollars for a 15 year old premium .com domain, New York art gallery manager, Tatjana Schlessinger asked for a price quote.
That’s when things turned red.
The price quote of $30,000 sent a fainting Schlessinger onto the marble floor of Galleria Zecsuisite, a premium art gallery in Manhattan.
Witnesses saw her gasp for air twice, before passing out, frothing at the mouth.
“It was just horrible, her eyes were bulging and her entire face and neck were as red as a boiled lobster!’ exclaimed artist Zac Pierre Laffit who was negotiating with the unfortunate manager at the time.
“We called 911 and she was taken on a stretcher in 8 minutes flat, now she’s recovering, I hear,” added Laffit.
The price quote was not unreasonable by any means, as the median sale on Domain Name Sales is high five figures.
According to our sources, the gallery manager herself “provoked” the domain owner, stating in her message that accompanied the lowball offer of $400:
“Hey there! Come back to me with your quote regardless of my offer, OK?”
It’s uncertain why would Ms. Schlessinger place an offer while asking for a quote; that’s the equivalent of offering $10,000 for a Dali painting.
We wish her a prompt recovery at the St. Judas Memorial Hospital; meanwhile here are two important links regarding domain valuation and current domain sales.
