It’s tough times for owners of LLLL .com domains that contain ‘bad letters’; and by that, we mean vowels.
Gone are the days that vowel purity dictated the value of short domains, including LLL .com and LLLL .com registrations.
Nowadays, the more unpronounceable a LLLL .com domain is, the better.
“I’ve been ridiculed time and again at DNForum and NamePros, while trying to sell my quad-premium domain, AEI*.com,” says Marcus Z., who requested that we don’t publish his last name or the full domain for obvious reasons.
“Every time I start a sales thread with my domain at Flippa or NameJet, people don’t bid. Some actually commented that they need to be paid in order to take the domain off my hands, what an insult!” exclaims Marcus Z., visibly dejected.
The swift move away from vowel-rich domains, to ‘XYZQ’ combinations is a shocking departure from the norm of the past decade. Marcus Z. is now witnessing his once priceless investment become worthless.
Continuous pursuing of formerly ‘junk letters’ by Chinese domain flippers and their pushing ‘ad nauseam‘ by incentive-driven bloggers, have contributed to this madness.
If you have a quad-premium, all vowel LLLL .com domain, our advice is to delete it immediately, or bear the consequences of being ridiculed by savvy domain investors.

Done.
This madness is good for all of us who own LLLL .coms. You could say CCCC .coms have gone up in value tremendously, while LLLL with vowels have been pretty stable, but none have gone down in value. I think the ones even with vowels will eventually follow suit because of the limited supply and growing demand.
DNSelect – All these ‘token’ domains are being traded among domainers, non stop. Eventually price reaches a plateau. Show me any QXZY .com that has been sold to end users, then talk about growing demand. 😉
Mind you, Chinese investors are the lovers of quad consonants chips, but have you forgot that the western end users can seek for any quad domain with vowels?
I see no reasons for anybody deleting their domains because they are not the choice of Chinese investors.
