DomainIQ is an online domain tool that provides extensive domain intelligence, not just good old plain WHOIS information.
Accessible from DomainIQ.com, the tool is a service by Estibot, the brainchild of Finnish programmer, Esa-Pekka Palvimaki.
The API provided by DomainIQ is being used by DoFo, Francois Carrillo’s WHOIS lookup platform, and although it’s quite stable, yesterday we managed to break it. 
But no worries, a whimsical error screen popped up, informing us that “Teams of Finnish moose have been deployed to investigate the issue.”
Programmers have a quirky sense of humor, and it shows.
