There's money to be made with twitter handles.
Today’s news is 99% about ICANN, what with the revealing of almost 2,000 new gTLD applications.
Even the Domain King noticed the plethora of news blogged about by us and other domain blogs! 
But this sale of a Twitter handle for 2,750 British pounds (or $4,279 dollars in current exchange rates) is quite shocking.
Domainer Jay Mahal of SoofiGroup.com sold the much-coveted twitter handle, @Bhangra to ABC Digital, a UK-based record distribution label:
“ABC DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION representing the largest portfolio of Bhangra Music in the World from 100+ Record Labels”
While technically sales of Twitter handles are not permitted, such exchanges are known to happen very often under the table 
Congratulations to Jay who got married to his special lady not too long ago!
