You can’t be “full of beans” unless you own the matching .com; Khadija Kalifa is a British mom and entrepreneur, who spent a load of beans for the ultimate domain pair. Her seemingly costly investment proved to be right!
According to an article in the Mail on Sunday, the British businesswoman took the advice of Sir Alan Sugar of Amstrad fame to start her own business: Full of Beans is a chain of play cafes in England where parents can enjoy coffee while their kids are having a fab playtime.
To achieve that, Khadija Kalifa acquired the domain pair FullOfBeans.com and FullOfBeans.co.uk for the sum of 23,000 British Pounds (approximately $28,000 dollars.)
Regarding the acquisition of these two important domain names, the British entrepreneur and busy mom of three stated:
“People might think I’m crazy, but when you have a vision, you know it’s worth it.”
By using the right pair of domains, the .com for international clout and the .co.uk for the local British market, the entrepreneur mom is witnessing remarkable success:
“This year, I’m opening a third cafe in East London. Over the 12 months, I’ve turned over £250,000 and raised more than £200,000 in investment. Already, I’m earning more money from my business than I ever have before in my life.”
