Not too long ago, GoDaddy terminated the availability of discount coupon codes for renewals, frustrating dozens of penny-minded domainers.
The recent epic victory of GoDaddy in the five year legal battle against the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, changes the coupon field temporarily.
“After such great news, we are ready to pass the savings onto our great customers, who will be able to save plenty of dollars with this 50% off discount coupon code,” said GoDaddy Marketing and Coupons specialist, Larry Laffer.
“You can use it to discount as many domains you want to renew, but the code can only be used once per account,” added Laffer, adjusting his leisure suit.
Clearly poking fun at the mega-organization that attempted to extract $30 million dollars from GoDaddy but failed, the coupon code is hilarious: OSCARZ.
“We were advised to change the last letter in order to avoid any further friction, although we don’t anticipate any such problems, and the savings are all yours!” said Larry Laffer, laughing out loud.
To claim your one-time GoDaddy discount coupon code, visit GoDaddy.com to renew your domain names in bulk.
if this were true, or is prophetic, I known a good 5000 names that would stay with GD this year . . .
Yancy – It’s definitely 50% true, so that means 2,500 domains can stay 😀
don’t play on our heartstrings!
oscarz did NOT work…but oscars worked…
thanks domain gang!!!
It looks like it doesn’t work if you belong to their discount club.
Got me all excited for nothing 🙁
Larry Laffer is really laughing out louder than expected.
