GoDaddy has given Texas Right to Life 24 hours to find a new hosting provider before cutting off service for violating their terms of service.
According to a report by the New York Times, the domain and web site at ProLifeWhistleblower.com was set up by the group Texas Right to Life, and was designed to accept tips from private individuals seeking to report violators of a fresh anti-abortion law in Texas.
Tips about offenders started flooding in; the reports included Texas’s own governor, Greg Abbott, who led the anti-abortion law efforts, along with characters from the Agengers.
The flood of bogus reports was the work of TikTok activists, programmers, and users on other social media platforms.
GoDaddy notified the account holder that they’d have to move their account to another company. It’s not clear if they have to also transfer the domain away from GoDaddy to another registrar; in that case, we can guess which company will probably make an epic move to bring them home.

Update: The domain name and its hosting have moved to Epik. Somehow this is not surprising.
