I didn’t have time to take a picture until today, but here it is! 😀
Apparently, GoDaddy – the world’s biggest registrar of .XXX domains – made robocalls on the launch date of the .XXX TLD – right at the 11:00am expected launch.
Here’s a photo of my answering machine’s LCD panel from that incoming call. No message was left to my answering machine though. 🙁
While the ICM Registry delayed the launch for about an hour later, that’s the official launch time.
No wonder GoDaddy ended up getting 50% share in the .XXX TLD 😀

Godaddy sent me a failed registration notice 3 days later after I thought I had a great .xxx on lockdown. what a load of crap!
Who did the owner of the domain name you lost turn out to be? We are researching this because of the same crap happening to us. It’s probably not ok for me to post our website on here but if you look around with the words xxx and scam you should be able to find us and see if it matches up with any of ours. I personally think this was a scam.
Thanks for letting me post my 5 cents!

why is it a scam? because someone beat you to your wanted domain and you are unhappy, therefore it must be a scam right? I got my domain, so what does that mean?
