The months’ old investigation by the FBI of the alleged email mishandling by Hillary Clinton, came to an abrupt stop yesterday.
James B. Comey, FBI Director, recommended no criminal charges against Hillary Clinton for her handling of classified information while she was Secretary of State.
According to the report, the FBI found no evidence that Hillary Clinton intentionally transmitted or willfully mishandled classified information.
The report effectively created a new valuation for a genre of political domain names, which were registered to incorporate “Hillary Clinton” and “email” as part of the keywords.
Such domains include:
- hillary.email (Asking price: $10,000)
- hillaryclinton.email (Asking price: $10,000)
- hillaryclintonemail.com (Parked)
- hillaryclintonemail.net
- hillaryclintonemail.org
And so forth.
As a direct result of the FBI investigation report, these domains, particularly the ones with an asking price of five figures USD, have now become worthless, as far as reselling value is concerned.
They can still be used as points of politically-infused free speech, but as we all know, domain speculators aren’t the best developers. 😉
Registering political domains during election years, with intent to sell to the politicians they represent, can be messy and there is no warranty for profit; in one such case in 2005, the domain HillaryClinton.com was acquired by the Democratic party hopeful via a UDRP.
