The domain name 25.com has been in the limelight recently, not because of its extreme numerical value as a two digit .com.
Owned by T.J.Demas, an Internet entrepreneur with a notable affiliation to numerology, 25.com has allegedly received a bid of $1.5 million dollars.
That bid, placed on Cax.com – the domain auction marketplace operated by French domain entrepreneur, Francois Carrillo, belongs to a person by the name of “kou zhenfang“.
Since Cax.com requires real names of people bidding, it is possible that the name is real. However, there are no Google results for “kou zhenfang” that point to a real person’s profile.
However, there are some concerns about the validity of this sizable bid.
- Why Cax.com and not Escrow.com ? It just does not compute.
- For an offer of that size, a direct/private sale would seem even more appropriate, involving the signing of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and the drafting of a special contract by a legal adviser.
Other sites owned by T.J.Demas follow the same pattern of obscure numerical symmetry, clocks and time, as seen at 25.com and E8.com. If you’re still not convinced, visit TheNewFaceOfTime.com
We’ll have to wait a few more days until the auction ends, and Francois will surely then announce the results.
At CAX.com buyers can decide to use their first and last name when bidding or use a nickname to preserve their privacy. eCOP already performed a full identity checking of this bidder. For the moment nothing let think the bid is fake.
Francois – What is the Cax percentage if the $1.5 million deal goes through? 😀
I smell money.
Sales commissions depend of seller membership: 7 to 10%.

What happened ?
Sales has been cancelled this morning… apparently the bidder associate/partner/friend hold the money.
