Jerusalem.com launched a revamped web site recently, complete with panoramic views of the Holy City of Jerusalem.
At the crossroads where three major world religions meet – Judaism, Christianity and Islam – Jerusalem is humbling with its views and three millenia of religion-soaked history.
Produced by Igal Lichtman who operates Traffic Media, the web site now rolled out a new app compatible with the iPad 2 and 3.
Priced only $0.99 until the end of August, the Holy Sepulchre app features the following:
“3D Interactive learning experience allowing you to visit on your own iPad the Church of the Holy Sepulchre – the site of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial & resurrection and the most important Christian pilgrimage destination in the world. Traced to the last detail, incredibly exact and with reliable content verified by leading religious authorities, counselors and experts – It’s like actually being there!”
The first user reaction, as provided to us, was not holding back their excitement:
“WOW!! a truly unique app I’ve never seen anything like it… first, the technology is mind-blowing. second, the experience really is spiritual!! It does actually feel as if i’m in Jerusalem walking around the Church of the Holy Sepulchre! The atmosphere is wonderful and absorbs you in the story of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. ”
Definitely an experience that would be recommended, whether one is a God fearing Christian or simply someone interested in taking a detailed tour of one of the most important religious places on earth.
