With Labor Day this coming Monday, Americans are about to take a break from their mostly home-based work. Canadians too!
The Labor Day Weekend signifies the end of summer, and the beginning of the final part of the year, towards the holiday season.
While the Coronavirus pandemic has disrupted social interactions, the economy, and time seems to fly by faster, Labor Day is still a reason to look forward to the remainder of the year.
Taking a look at the matching .com domains, LaborDay.com and LaborDayWeekend.com, we see that they are both being used as URL forwarders, presumably to capitalize on some kind of “type in traffic.”
In particular, LaborDay.com is a 1997 registration that forwards to an Amazon store about a product called The Jet Bag. It’s a bag that protects wines while they are transported inside luggage – presumably, when you travel. With travel volume down by 95% or more, we think that sales for the Jet Bag might be a bit off this year.
Meanwhile, LaborDayWeekend.com is a 2000 registration forwarding to entertainment events and parties in New York City. We are not sure if these are actual events taking place with reduced attendance, due to social distancing requirements. The good news is that New York City’s early handling of the Coronavirus pandemic worked wonders.
Whatever you do, stay safe and enjoy your long Labor Day Weekend, and Labor Day this coming Monday. 😀
