LeBron James is going home; the 29 year old professional basketball player announced his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, leaving Miami Heat behind.
This is big news for his fans, who just might type in LeBron.com to go to his official web site.
Except, that’s not it.
LeBron.com was acquired in 2008 by a Maryland businessman, Patrick Nagle, who has been investing in domain names for the past 15 years. In fact, LeBron.com takes one to Nagle’s LinkedIn page!
Nagle’s profile says:
“I enjoy moving fast and with my gut. When I feel it, I’m in. I am not afraid to take risk and/or make mistakes; you may think that is a good or bad thing. My success outweighed my mistakes — My mistakes outnumbered my success. Collectively, through my success and mistakes, I’m wiser than before.”
Aside from LeBron.com, Nagle owns approximately 3,000 other domain names but he’s not actively buying or selling currently, focusing on business projects instead.
Looks like in the new NBA season, the legacy of the great player, LeBron James, will continue to take millions of visitors to LeBron.com.

Looks like you may have sparked a sale. Both domains both now resolve to LebronJames.com!
