Mark Elliot Zuckerberg is known among his friends and peers as “Zuck,” a nickname from his college days.
The Facebook founder announced the transformation of the umbrella company operating Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp, into a metaverse platform called “Meta.”
Operating from Meta.com, the company intends to scale its operations beyond social media, into technology and hardware enabling three-dimensional experiences of the internet.
Apparently, Mark Zuckerberg has been leaking the “Meta” reference for a while now. After all, he denied rumors that the rebranding took place to fight back recent accusations about Facebook creating an addictive environment, hostile to the youth; the rebranding was an open plan since 2014.
That might explain why the domain MetaZuck.com was registered in July. It currently displays a photo of Mark Zuckerberg and the Meta logo.
Could this be Zuck’s new personal web site, as Zuck.com is broken? 😀
