When we received a notification of a successful domain transfer from NameCheap today, it was a baffling moment: the domain had been transferred to GoDaddy almost a year ago.
Then more emails arrived, all with current time stamps, but referencing domains that had been transferred out in 2013. Despite the transfer at that time, these domains were still being listed in our NameCheap account.
But no more.
Apparently, someone over at NameCheap ran a batch job on domains that were not under their control anymore.
If you received similar email notifications from NameCheap, you may now breathe; nobody has hijacked your domains!
