Ian Clark had a blast at NamesCon; the Canadian domain investor is a conference regular, and he’s planning to take on Kilimanjaro next, for a great cause.
Nine years ago, Ian had knee replacement surgery resulting in getting both metal knees; his typical joke is that he’s a popular guy when “scrap prices go up” or when going through airport security. Climbing the tallest mountain in Africa has been on his bucket list and now it’s a go.
Ian’s trip to Tanzania is scheduled for February 23rd, to begin a 6 day hike to the summit of Kilimanjaro.
Through the WaterSchool project, Ian is trying to raise $5,000 Canadian dollars; this amount will outfit 5 schools in impoverished nations with a sustainable water disinfection process that will make an instant and long term difference in their lives.
As a bonus, if someone donates over $400 to Waterschool and can provide Ian with their corporate shirt/banner, he will wear/display it at the “Summit of Mt Kilimanjaro” and provide them with a picture.
Isn’t that freaking awesome, or what? 😀
Help Ian make it to the Kilimanjaro summit and support the WaterSchool project.
