NameSilo‘s financial issues are no more; the popular domain registrar has been crunching its numbers during a crappy 2020, but those days are over.
In breaking news, SpaceX will become the corporate sponsor of NameSilo, promoting its Starship with every domain sold at NameSilo.
SpaceX will pay a total of US $300 million for the company, according to rumors, with $150 million upfront and $50 million annually for three years. The agreement was completed via a Zoom call between the two CEOs that lasted 14 hours.
“Our SpaceX Starship is remarkably similar to a grain silo and NameSilo is just the right brand for our rocket to take off with,” said Elon Musk on Parler.
“Just like Tesla stock skyrockets so will NameSilo under our love and support, it’s the stuff that dreams are made of,” added Musk.
Domain investors with domains at NameSilo will receive a set of SpaceX Starship stickers and a chance to have their domains listed on the SpaceX Starship’s maiden flight to Mars.
