Fresh news of an ongoing merger of automotive giants, Nissan and Honda, is causing domain registration frenzy among domainers.
Whilst the merger is far from complete, it’d create a super automotive company that’d rank 3rd in the world in terms of vehicle sales.
Both companies possess strong, famous brandmarks; both NISSAN and HONDA are world-renowned. Still, this doesn’t stop domain investors from pushing the limit of cybersquatting: Both NissanHonda.com and NissanHonda.us have been registered during the past week.
It’s interesting to note that Nissan fought for many years the now late Uzi Nissan, demanding that he surrendered his namesake domain, Nissan.com.
Nissan actively files UDRPs against the registrants of “Nissan” domains, such as Nissan.ai. Honda Motors does the same.
