There are very few keywords that carry over their worth across every TLD, gTLD or ccTLD – one of which is “porn.”
While Porn.xxx was sold by the ICM Registry for an undisclosed amount in the hundreds of thousands, the new gTLDs are so far non adult, and their Registries have retained “porn” as part of a collision list, although that rule has been bent at least once: Check out Porn.bike.
In the XYZ realm, the controversial gTLD has boasted large registration numbers that are the byproduct of a huge robo-registration campaign by Network Solutions; regardless of the methods used, the XYZ Registry has apparently moved Porn.XYZ to a private owner, very recently.
Although Porn.XYZ was held with the XYZ Registry from the XYZ launch in June, two months later, the WHOIS changed to an account with Uniregistry.
According to DomainTools, this occurred on August 6th, and the domain Porn.XYZ has been under privacy and not resolving to a web site.
We cannot confirm that the domain Porn.XYZ was sold by the XYZ Registry; meanwhile, PornXYZ.com [NSFW] is an active web site that could be a potential buyer of the domain.
