When Airbnb announced the redesign of their corporate logo to one with combined phallic and vaginal overtones, many could not believe how the designers didn’t notice the obvious.
Here’s a quick explanation.
Sometimes, designers get caught up in the concept and attempt to present an abstract image that combines a variety of elements, forming something completely different. The statement “Keep it simple, stupid” holds water to this day.
Looks like this happens very often.

If you don’t see the blue man on top of the spread-eagled gray woman at the bottom, you’d probably fail both Art 101 and the Sex Ed class. 😀
