Mike Mann’s non-profit outfit, Grassroots.org, has one mission:
“To serve as a catalyst for positive social change by leveraging modern technologies and best business practices. Grassroots.org provides nonprofit organizations with free valuable technologies and resources to increase their efficiency and productivity.”
Through Grassroots.org, Mike Mann serves over 5,700 nonprofits in the US, Canada and Africa. The goal is to adopt 10,000 nonprofit members, and to provide each of them with an average of $10,000 per year worth of services at no charge – for a total savings of $100 million per year.
It appears that not too long ago, someone registered Rootsgrass.org – an anagram of Mike’s non-profit. The domain was registered in late July, according to top WHOIS tool, DomainTools.
The domain appears to be parked, and the motive appears to be financial, although there are no ads on that page generated by Parking Crew.
The fact that the .com is unregistered makes the intention obvious: to capitalize on Mike Mann’s traffic and potentially confuse visitors.
Will Mike send a C&D to the Rootsgrass.org registrant?

Rootsgrass doesn’t make any sense.
I doubt if Mike Mann has anything to worry about.

Ms Domainer – I know the word doesn’t make sense, but the site has traffic.
