Sedo, a premium sponsor of DomainGang, announced its call for crypto domain name submissions.
There will be an exclusive Crypto Domain Names auction between September 13th to 20th. Sedo will be attending MERGE! 2018 in Orlando, Florida as well.
In order for submissions to make the cut, there are additional requirements.
- Short, one word, strong two word crypto related .com’s, .net’s, top ccTLD’s, or alternative ccTLDS with a high value sales history of high value sales and newer “gTLD’s” aligning well with crypto
- Realistic domain reserves to incentivize bidders and reflect market rates
Crypto domain names have been popular in recent months; Sedo sent us some critical data points from the Sedo Marketplace:
- The average sales price is 4,000 USD while the median price is 1,000 USD
- .com, .de & .net make up the majority of crypto domain sales
- From January 2017 to the present, crypto domains for a total of 1.7 Million USD have been sold through Sedo.
- Seller countries of origin are the U.S., followed by Germany, UK, Canada and China, while Buyers of crypto related domains are from the U.S., Germany, Korea, UK, China and the United Arab Emirates.

Overall I get more .org sales than .net sales for the term Crypto via Namebio. Although the .net’s have a higher average price
