There is something particularly interesting about Sven Loiglas, a domainer from Omaha, Nebraska who has been investing in domain names for the past 12 years.
Sven is only 3ft 7″ tall, and he’s often been confused for a child during domain conferences. But still, this doesn’t make Sven Loiglas a lesser person or domain investor.
Owning a remarkable collection of great domain generics, such as AcaiBerryParaphernalia.com, FatFreeJuice.com and PersonToPersonMeeting.com, Sven is soft-spoken but very protective of his domain assets.
“They look down at me, amazed that I’m an adult, then ask about my domains”, says Sven.
“I tell them, that other than a customized chair to sit on and do my daily trading I am no different than the average 6ft dude that ladies seem to go after at domain conferences”, he adds with a gregarious laughter.
Sven has been asked on several occasions to provide an ID for being in adult establishments, such as casinos and strip clubs during TRAFFIC in Las Vegas, but height – or lack thereof – has its perks: Sven Loiglas often gets in at Disneyland with a kid’s ticket.
“I love playing at Disney resorts and have fun as much as register quality domain names”, Sven says. “I also admire Rick Schwartz for his character and refusal of offers until the million dollar deal comes along”, he adds.
Sven Loiglas plans to attend TRAFFIC in Ft. Lauderdale in October, so don’t be shocked when what appears to be a child roams the conference’s rooms!
