For several years now, Demas has been investing in short, numeric domains – some of them with a cryptic meaning.
Demas, founder of Aspen Edge Research, an equity research and investment management firm based in Denver, Colorado, marvels about numeric domains in public, often.
According to our research, TJ Demas recently sold the domain 246.com to a Chinese domain buyer.
Details of the sale were not disclosed, although Demas reportedly had an $1.5 million dollar offer for the domain 25.com in the past. That sale, however, did not materialize.
That was in 2012, when the Chinese domain market was still in its infancy.
With long-holding domain investors such as Rick Schwartz caching in their numeric domain investments, the apparent sale of 246.com should be a rather sizable one.
