TRU.com : Aged LLL .com in the next big #domain auction by Toys ‘R’ Us?

Toys ‘R’ Us is closing its doors, sending its 31,000 employees into unemployment; meanwhile, the former toy giant will be filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation.

That means, that all corporate assets will be sold in order to pay off as much debt as possible. Employees get nothing, and that doesn’t come as a surprise.

Toys ‘R’ Us owns a large number of domain names in its corporate portfolio.

Our past research has shown that as many as 1,000 domains will be liquidated. Toys ‘R’ Us maintains these digital assets under a separate entity, Geoffrey LLC.

Among these domains, TRU.com is the company’s acronym, and it’s definitely valuable.

Registered in 1993, TRU.com will most likely hit an auction, to be picked up at a fraction of its valuation. Currently, TRU.com does not resolve.

Other big domains to be auctioned would include Toys.com, Toys.org, Etoys.com and Geoffrey.com.

It’s a sad day for Toys ‘R’ Us and millions of adults that grew up having access to a physical toy store as kids.

Crazy not to have used Toys carried by the com brand back in the day digital was always first, I guess back then someone should have had the obvious hindsight to have reg the two largest population linguistics for Toy/s [India & China]
