Turn Ignorance Around : Latino response to Donald Trump’s smear campaign

Donald Trump is currently the leading Republican candidate for his party’s nomination; US presidential elections take place in November.

Trump’s controversial statements about Mexico and Mexicans didn’t leave Latinos of Mexican descent unmoved.

A new marketing campaign, called “Turn Ignorance Around,” has been launched by American Latinos, using the web site TurnIgnoranceAround.com.

Utilizing the derogatory epithets used by Donald Trump to assault Mexicans, the campaign takes words such as “murderer,” “dealer,” “trafficker,” “thief,” “attacker” and others and turns them around into positive statements empowering the Latino community.

The President of the United States is a position of leadership that cannot rely on cultural or racial division. Keep that in mind when you cast your ballot in November.
