Uniregistry
Earlier today we shared news of an ongoing migration of Uniregistry accounts to GoDaddy.
Uniregistry is a GoDaddy company and there is a long term transition plan in place; however, the current migration is experienced by “an extremely small percentage” of Uniregistry customers.
What type of accounts are being transferred over to GoDaddy currently?
According to official feedback from Uniregistry and GoDaddy, the accounts that are being migrated involve customers that do not utilize any additional features, such as domain parking or domain “for sale” listings on the Uni Market.
Regarding the current migration itself, it’s a change to the platform managing the domains (from Uniregistry to GoDaddy) and not a registrar change. In other words, domains at Uniregistry remain there and Uniregistry.com actively supports new account registrations.
As much as this statement helps clarify some things, it raises quite a few questions due to the language used in the original email sent to the migrating accounts at Uniregistry.
