Domains that contain the term “visit” and a geographical destination are sought after. Such geodomains can go for thousands of dollars, or more.
According to NameBio, the highest sale of a visit+destination .com domain is that of VisitFlorida.com, a private sale at $186,000 dollars. VisitStockholm.com is at #2 for $70,000 dollars, and you can see the top 10 sales here.
Most, if not all, destinations are registered with the “visit” prefix, and Kabul is no exception. The capital of Afghanistan would be a cool place to visit—in an alternate universe, that is.
It goes without saying that the recent developments in Kabul, a city that fell to the Taliban, make the domain VisitKabul.com a heavily discounted item.
Registered in 2004, VisitKabul.com points to WhyPark servers but the domain does not resolve.
On the other hand it would be a great fit in the adventure tourism category.
