There’s a lot of talk on the topic of money making in the domain industry, and much of it consists of air-filled promises for quick riches, if only you listen to the voices some have in their head.
Whether you are a LLLL .com trader in the Chinese domain market, an investor in 6N or 7N domains, a gTLD speculator or an investor in brandable domains, one thing is certain: you’re doing considerably less work than certain others who actually develop their domains.
Incidentally, domain development has nothing to do with parking, and it’s not about putting together Amazon affiliate stores. It’s not about creating three pages with content from Wikipedia and stock photography either.
Domain development is about creating unique content that is useful to the rest of the Internet, and provides information or enhances services for a brick and mortar business. If you can monetize this, you are ready to rinse and repeat.
In this fun image below, derived from a popular meme, we can see who actually works in this damn domain industry! 😀
Happy Phriday!
Good post!.. And true.
