Is it Mother’s Day yet? 😀
Uniregistry has been rolling out dot .Mom like there’s no tomorrow, and China seems to be a big registrant target, according to statistics.
Some people are spamming existing domain registrants of “mom” domains, even Frank Schilling’s email didn’t escape.
The price of premium .Mom domains is in the thousands of dollars, however.
From some fresh registration data, it seems that domain investor Mike Berkens has grabbed the domain My.Mom, which we believe went for $11,000 dollars. The annual renewal is $110 bucks.
If you have a couple of grand to spend, Your.Mom is available for “only” $2,200 dollars.
Hey, that didn’t sound right! 😀
The domain Your.Mom is available for this much money, obviously. And Single.Mom can be had for the same, “low” price of $2.2k.
Meanwhile, Soccer.Mom, that quintessential reference to American family sports, is reserved by Uniregistry.
Come on now, Frank, you promised! 😛
Someone register your.mom and I’ll do a content site. We’ll split the revenue.
Christopher – Please leave my mom out of this. Oh, you mean the domain … Cool idea! Any takers?
The potential for branding your.mom could go many ways. There are a few other .mom’s I have seen that have even better branding potential.
