In a disappointing outcome, top tier domain name Power.com – heavily promoted by Rick Schwartz – held no charge at the live auction at TRAFFIC.
With a reserve price of $3 million dollars, Power.com drew only $250,000 – not enough amps to motivate the seller.
Meanwhile, FunnyCrap.com sold for $1,500 π
The auction is on-going, with live results being archived at DNN.
wow…seems like hardly any names have sold, all the .xxx and .co names are selling for pennies on the dollar based on the pre show predictions, watching the live stream it seems as if the room is completely empty, maybe its time to abandon the live auction idea altogether.
Honestly wished Rick the best…cant win em’ all. π
Looks like a BUST to me.
Guess the rain all week was the tell-tale jinx.
yes, it was joke.
Girls were bored and fake bids under reserve.
There were not many people. I guess most of them were Rick`s colleagues.
It really funny when I think what Schwartz talked about this auction earlier but actually it turned into shit.
Looks like tsunami is coming on beachfront properties…as more gTLD extensions flooding the world market…will eventually drop .com .co .xxx values etc.
When Supply exceed Demand… equals lower price…back to basic economic rule…
FunnyCrap.com is easy to remember domain name but it doesn’t makes any positive sense. Things which are funny are never crap. How can a funny thing could be crap….
