Bing, the search engine developed by Microsoft, has been a Google rival for years.
Despite delivering more useful results than the ad-laden pages of Google, Bing is not as popular as the 800 pound gorilla of search engines.
With Google announcing its ABC.XYZ formation today, Bing could not let things go unanswered, apparently.
Their response: ABC.WTF, a domain that was registered today. The domain has its WHOIS hidden, according to DomainTools, and it redirects to Bing.
The IP it resolves to, 204.79.197.200, belongs to the Microsoft network, so we’re almost 100% certain it’s a prank played by Microsoft towards Google. 😀
