Frank Schilling clarifies “AM Radio” statement

AM Radio no more.

AM Radio no more.

In a statement that shocked many a conservative domainer, domain investor Frank Schilling announced the end of the “AM radio” era.

Said Frank, at the Digital Marketing & gTLD Strategy Congress conference in London, UK:

“I believe it is safe to say, that the AM radio band is now obsolete; owners of two-band radios are thus advised to trade in their AM/FM radios for FM-only, with Sirius satellite radio as the next option up.”

Frank Schilling’s statement comes as no surprise, as Uniregistry employees stream FM radio only, a move that is considered revolutionary by many radiophiles.

“As radio bands evolve, many will laugh at the notion that the AM radio ever existed,” said Frank Schilling.

“The future depends on our willingness to break the shackles of AM radio, and support new, effective ways of listening to music while working on selling domains,” added Frank.

Following the announcement, thousands of domainers formed lines at BestBuy, Wal-Mart and Target, to trade in their AM radios for FM-enabled ones.

“We are seeing a remarkable demand for FM radios right now for some reason,” said BestBuy manager, Tim Marcus. “Even Sirius satellite is receiving some pre-orders, not sure what is going on!” he exclaimed.

Frank Schilling’s coverage of AM/FM technology continues tomorrow with a focus on “Antennas & the future: retractable or rabbit ears?
