A brand new – yet, experimental – service layer from Sedo is in the works.
Described as “the best method to own domains and web sites available in the domain aftermarket” it’s an interesting approach to expanding communication between domain buyers and sellers.
The new Text2Own gateway will take away a large amount of frustration with sellers being able to text their responses to the buyer when negotiating a sale.
“Often times we get phonecalls from sellers wanting to speed up the release of comments. It gets tiring after a while”, says Marcus Freeman of Sedo tech support.
“So we decided to offer a texting layer so that buyer and seller can bug themselves to their hearts’ content.”
Indeed, the new Text2Own layer will add the following features:
- Text2Own messaging with advanced filtration – Texting email addresses will freeze further messaging for 24 hours.
- Lowball offer block – No more $60 offers for your LLL .com domains. Block them!
- Network white-listing – Pre-approve offers from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and other oil-rich countries, where wealthy domainers reside.
The service comes free of charge for the first 100 text messages; after that, a nominal charge will apply.
The Text2Own gateway will be unveiled during TRAFFIC in Ft. Lauderdale, where Sedo is a premium event sponsor.
what does SEDO stand for?
Ooo…I can’t wait until they add the “Verify-The-Buyer-Has-The-Funds” feature.
