The day Whitney Houston died more than 325 related domains were registered, declaring the passing away of the famous singer diva.
This is not unusual, as the passing away of a famous person always triggers interest in their name and life’s achievements.
We saw some distasteful registrations in the past, when Steve Jobs passed away.
Something alarming, however, caught our eye: BobbiKristina.com – the name of Whitney Houston’s 18 year old daughter – was registered that same day her mother died.
According to top WHOIS too, DomainTools, the registrant is Kaylee Kase Studios LLC, that according to Google results delve in the provision of “adult” aka pornographic web sites and content.
Kaylee Kase Studios LLC describe themselves as such:
“Management & multimedia studio for models seeking safe, legal, and respectable jobs within the adult entertainment industry – founded by pornstar Memphitz Creamer”
Who the heck is “Memphitz Creamer“?
According to Twitter, he is “22, Bi Racial, CEO, Porn star, Socialite, Celebrity #rocker style“.
Whatever that means, it appears that Bobbi Kristina – teenage daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston – has had her name cybersquatted upon, on the day that her mother passed away.
The domain name BobbiKristina.com was temporarily listed for sale at Aftermarket.com – the online marketplace for buying and selling domain names – but it was removed earlier tonight by the Aftermarket operators, after this case of obvious cybersquatting was reported by concerned domainers.
