CloudX: Company buys .ai domain from James Booth but there’s a catch!

CloudX, operating from CloudX.io, upgraded its domain to the matching .ai — CloudX.ai — after purchasing it from domain investor James Booth.

The news of its acquisition for the sum of $100,000 dollars via Atom was shared by James, who noted that the buyer completed a Series A round, raising $30 million dollars.

All this sounds spectacular but there is one slight problem. The domain name CloudX.com is owned and operated by a different CloudX company, founded in 2017.

Can two “CloudX” companies co-exist in the same AI space?

It really comes down to who owns the best AI technology and other artificial intelligence products; getting the domain CloudXAI.com might also help improve either company’s SEO footprint.

All this should not matter for James, however; congratulations on yet another big sale! 👍
