The soft-spoken Frankie rarely reveals his best domains, among the thousands in his Domain Name Sales portfolio.
But one domain recently stood out due to its affiliation to a large art sale – or should we say, monolithic art sale.
An anonymous art investor paid $119,900,000 – or one hundred thousand short of $120 million dollars – for “The Scream“, a 1895 painting by Norwegian painter Edvard Munch. This is the most money ever paid for a single piece of artwork.
Guess who owns TheScream.com and if you don’t say “Frank Schilling” then we’ll scream it for you: It’s Frank!
So Frank Schilling is ‘sitting’ on a pile of cash, should the new, anonymous owner of “The Scream” wished to splurge a few millions extra for the dot com! 😀
