French domainer entrepreneur, Francois Carrillo, is known for being fond of soccer – which is called football in every country except for the US – and an avid supporter of the French team in Euro 2012.
Except for today.
“Zut alors! It’s a nightmare like no other and why?” says Francois, throwing his arms up in the air in dismay.
“When watch game, my papa is Spanish and mama is French. So have support Spain and support France, understand?”
The game between Spain and France for Euro 2012 will determine which national team advances to the semifinals. With a little over a week left until the end of the championship, today’s game is a family splitter.
Francois shakes his head, visibly tired.
“I hoped France played Germany, no Spain, so easy surrender, ah ah ah!” says Francois, laughing. “But instead hear cousins yell in Spanish and aunt Isabelle chant song for France. I get headache, no courage domaining.”
We wish that the best team wins and bon courage to Francois. 😀
Sometimes it is hard to be a soccer fan.
Yesterday we had also a dramatic match Germany – Greece.
The relationship between Germany and Greece ist not the best in the moment ( Euro Crises + Merkel + Greece). But we win 4:2 😉
Have a nice weekend and greetings from Berlin, Germany
Gabriele – You’re absolutely correct. Watching Angela Merkel applaud at the game made me wonder if she’s fit to be a chancellor 😀
Both parents are Spanish as all my family but I borned and live in France.
So the result was really half deception and half hapinness.
Next round Portugal – Spain
And here, no hesitation: Viva España!
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ! 😀
DomainGang does it again! Always keeping us informed and allowing us to live vicariously within the domain industry as we know it. My family are big soccer fans and through our private communities has enjoyed going to the playoffs for the past 10 years. Thanks for the insight….Kev
