Greetings and salutations, brothers and sisters in domaining. This is Father Domainicus with an important message about today’s exquisite news.
The good news first: Habemus Papam!
Which means, “we have a Pope“, in a language that was still spoken when Jesus played with other children in the garden of Jerusalem, and the Roman soldiers visited the local prostitutes spending a shekel a pop.
But enough with history lessons.
Now, while I fully understand the need of domain investors to honor the new Pope, Francis I, there is a fine line whereupon domain anathema is cast.
Hell and high damnation to those that registered domains in other TLDs, when the .com was taken! It’s sacrilege and sodomy, to disobey the teachings of our Domain Lord, who said in Domainonomy 8:16 the following:
“Let those that are of faith carry on the straight path, let those with profit in their heart perish in the fires of hell, holding a shekel in their sinful fists.”
It is very clear that it’s one thing to create a fan page of Pope Francis, and another to disrespect and squat on the name of his Holiness. Not to mention, it will quickly burn a hole in your pocket, as the Vatican does not buy domain names that were registered without being blessed first.
But I have taken too much time already from this joyful evening; here’s a fatherly kiss on both your cheeks, for a new beginning and a new Pope. Amen.
~Father Domainicus.
