Developers of .CO domain names, average a high IQ, according to a recent study conducted by the St. Paulus University of Medical Psychology.
The study presented a blind sample of 450 entrepreneurs from the Silicon Valley area with a series of MENSA-approved questions, adding a field about their active web site.
An astounding 97.5% of those that listed a .CO domain as their corporate or start-up web site domain, scored an IQ of 145 – or better.
“We extended the validity of the study, by performing the reverse test, asking people from a separate matching sample that possessed an IQ of 145 and above, to list their business domain,” said Professor Marcus Bremmen.
“Not surprisingly, 95% of that sample listed .CO domains as their active web sites,” added Professor Bremmen.
The study tells two things: .CO domains are popular among technology entrepreneurs in a region where all the great minds engage in business, and that smart individuals register appealing domain names, when the alternatives are taken.
The .CO Registry could not have been any happier with the results!
