Domainers: 99.9% of polls are bullshit, according to a poll

Crappy domains stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Polls are bullshit, says poll.

A new poll surveying domainers shows that “99.9% of domainer polls are pure and utter bullshit.

New media company, Poll Pullers, conducted the poll via phone, between November 1st and November 21st, contacting more than 25,000 domainers in the process. The sample selected resided in the US, Canada, the UK, France and India.

“We believe in sharing accurate numbers, and after crunching the data we were surprised by the results,” said the company CEO, Stan Shady.

More than 99% of the domainers polled by Poll Pullers, believe that polls are skewed in a manner best serving the interests of their conductor.

Another 89.5% boldly admits that they would upvote anything that they receive an invitation to – as in the case of Facebook likes.

“With a large sample as this, we can gauge results and trends more accurately, than with, say – 200 votes – and that’s a fact,” said Stan Shady, pointing to a large spreadsheet.

“A lot of people don’t realize that a sample size of 10,000 at minimum is required, to conduct a poll that deduces the footprint of a trend or opinion accurately,” added Shady.

The company plans to publish the results on DNJournal early next year, offering a free PDF copy of the report to visitors who like their Facebook page.

    Good one!

  2. Mark Hershiser says:

I did a private scientific poll at my blog and 100% of my reader (that singular is not a typo) responded and said they liked my blog best, even better than yours…

And BullS also said it was mainly because I was the only domain blog that hadn’t banned him from participating in polls yet… 😉

    Owen – Thanks!

Mark – BullS isn’t banned, 100% of his posts end up in the spam folder.

Jeff – Stan is an experienced poll man, with 10 years in the poll biz.
